BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Graduated from the Faculty of Political Science of Ankara University in 1979, he pursued its master degree in the same University’s Economics Department. Mr. Göker worked as a public accountant in the Ministry of Finance from 1979 to 1984 followed by an auditor position in Capital Market Board between 1984-1988. He held the position of Coordinator for Capital Market and audit activities at Net Holding between 1988-1990 before pursuing his career as the General Manager of Global Securities in 1990 which he is one of the founders of. Still holding the Chairman Of The Board position at Global Securities, Mr. Göker is also Vice President of Global Investment Holding and a Member Of The Board Of Directors at Ege and Izmir Ports as well as in several affiliates of the Holding operating in the energy business. Beyond the Group, Mr. Göker sits on several committees of the Istanbul Stock Exchange and is a member of TÜSIAD. He is also the main shareholder and Chairman Of The Board of Yaprak Süt ve Besi Ciftlikleri Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S operating in agro and dairy sector.

Graduated from Istanbul University Business Administration Department, he first joined Global Securities at 1991 followed by a two years banking experience. He then re-joined Global Securities as the Assistant Director for Branch Coordination. He became a Director for Domestic Sales, HR and Administration  for 16 branches and 20 liaison offices. Gökhan Özer, who served as the General Manager of Global Securities between 2007 and 2017, is still working as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

She started his career in 1994 as an Assistant Investment Specialist in the Domestic Sales and Marketing Department at Global Securities. She was appointed as Deputy Head of the Central Branch in 1999 and as the Head of the Central Branch in 2000. In January 2009, he was appointed as Deputy Director responsible for directing and managing the sales and marketing functions of Istanbul Branches.

Doğançay, who served as the Deputy General Manager responsible for the Transaction Intermediation Unit until April 1, 2017, has been working as the General Manager of Global Securities since this date. She is married with two children. She speaks English.

After graduating from Istanbul School of Economics and Commercial Sciences in 1966, Hekimoğlu completed his specialization program at Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration, Institute of Business Economics in 1967. He started his professional career at the Social Security Institution in 1970. In 1973, he joined Dışbank and held various senior management positions until 1993. From 1993 to 2010, he served as a Board Member and General Manager in the financial markets.

Selim Soydemir graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences in 1983, and completed his master's degree in International Trade and Financial Management at the University of Reading, England. He received his doctorate degree in economics with his thesis on Financial Fund Flows in Turkey (1982-1993) at Gazi University in 1997.
Having received special education on capital markets at Wharton School in 1985, Soydemir joined the Executive Education program at Carnegie Mellon University in 1997.

He started his career as an assistant researcher at the Capital Markets Board in 1983. He has served as a consultant.

Soydemir has been giving lectures on Financial Institutions, International Financial Management and Public Finance at Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences since 2006, and also lectures on Micro and Macro Economy at Başkent University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Engineering Faculty.

İlkay Arıkan graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of Public Administration in 1987, and completed the Executive MBA program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 1998.

Arıkan, who worked in the Audit Department of the Capital Markets Board between 1989 and 2001, assumed various responsibilities at the Turkish Capital Markets Association (TSPB) between 2001 and 2021. He worked at TSPB as Director of Investigation and Legal Affairs between 2001-2002, and as Deputy Secretary General responsible for Investigation and Legal Affairs and Administrative and Financial Affairs Departments between 2002-2004; He also served as the General Secretary for 17 years between 2004-2021.

Ilkay Arıkan continues his professional life at Aktio Danışmanlık, where he is the Founding Partner.
